Located on the southern edge of Lake Pontchartrain and just north of the city, in Orleans Parish. Lakeview is a sought after area that continues to evolve. In spite of being one of the most devastated areas after Katrina, Lakeview’s return of families and businesses have proven monumental. Lakeview is now home to a booming neighborhood and restaurant scene. You will also notice a constant flow of bikers, joggers and walkers throughout the area, especially with the newly bricked pedestrian areas on Harrison Avenue and the new bike paths throughout Lakeview, City Park, and along Bayou Saint John. Having Lake Pontchartrain, City Park and Bayou Saint John in such close proximity provides numerous activities within walking distance. On any given day you will see people walking to a festival, listening to music in the park, eating beignets, playing miniature golf at City Putt, riding the antique wooden carousel at Carousel Gardens in City Park, walking the sculpture garden, fishing, golfing, canoeing, kayaking or simply catching the sunset at one of the many restaurants on the Lake Pontchartrain.
